CROWE & MULVEY, LLP |

All of our potential clients receive an initial telephone consultation. If, as a result of that consultation, we feel that the case warrants further investigation, the client will be asked to come to the office for detailed discussion of the potential claim. Generally, a nurse and one of the senior lawyers will meet the client to obtain the necessary information to evaluate the claim and to answer any questions. The evaluation is a very important part of the process, and in complicated cases, may take several months. The evaluation may involve obtaining pertinent medical records and other documents, as well as consulting with outside medical or technical experts regarding the merits of the claim. At the conclusion of the evaluation, we will discuss our findings with the client and decide whether to pursue the claim. If we accept a case, our goal is to prepare it thoroughly for trial, even though most cases eventually settle. This preparation involves participation by the senior partners, associate attorneys, and nurses, who work together to gather information and supporting documents from the opposing side, from independent witnesses, and other sources. Whether by settlement or verdict, our goal is to achieve the best possible result for the client. |
