FEES AND EXPENSES
All cases at Crowe & Mulvey, LLP are accepted on a contingent fee basis. This means that our legal fee is paid out of money recovered for you, whether by settlement or by jury verdict. The fee is a percentage of the total amount recovered. The contingent fee system makes it possible for you to have high quality legal representation even if you cannot pay by the hour.
Before we decide to accept a case, we will evaluate it at no charge to you. While many law firms require you to pay a retainer fee, various other up front costs, as well as the many other ongoing expenses, as they arise during the litigation process, Crowe & Mulvey, LLP does not ask you to pay for any costs or expenses unless your case is successfully resolved. This means that even though the expenses associated with civil lawsuits are often significant, you will not be responsible for any expenses unless there is money recovered for you. If you do not receive compensation for your injuries, then you will never pay any legal fees or expenses to Crowe & Mulvey, LLP.
Why do we practice this way? We practice this way because we believe in your case, because we are confident in our abilities, and because we think that your economic status should never affect your ability to obtain complete compensation for all of your injuries.
The defendants and insurance companies have ample resources at their disposal and so should you.
