Twenty-seven-year-old former NFL linebacker Brandon Spikes plead guilty to charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, operating an uninsured vehicle, speeding, and a marked lines violation on July 1 at a court in Wrentham, Massachusetts, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader.
The charges are in connection with a vehicular accident that Spikes allegedly caused on June 7, resulting in the injuries of three individuals. Spikes, whose legal counsel said he wanted to take responsibility for the accident and move on with his life, was sentenced to serve a year of probation for his charges.
