Two young children were injured when a large tree fell on them while they were playing in a playground at Washington Park in Chelsea, Massachusetts just before 7 p.m. on May 4, according to a Independent.ie report.
Police and local authorities said the two boys were brought to Whidden Hospital in Everett and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, respectively, for the immediate treatment of their injuries. One boy may have suffered a skull fracture in the playground accident.
Chief Brian Kyes wished the two boys who were hurt by the falling tree in Washington Park a speedy recovery and expressed gratitude for the parents who reacted quickly by removing children from the scene and cooperating with the medical responders.
